Bay Massage and Skin Care began providing massage therapy on Bainbridge Island in 1993.  By 1996 the business expanded to include a full menu of skin care treatments and services.  Massage and skin care treatments are both healing and relaxing.

Massage Practitioners

Our massage practitioners' goals are to assist their clients in achieving optimum health through reduced anxiety, enhanced relaxation, and injury recovery. They specialize in Swedish and Deep Tissue massage, injury treatment, LaStone therapy, and pregnancy massage. Our massage practitioners are preferred providers for several health insurance companies.

Skin Care Therapists

Our licensed skin care therapists approach skin care with a holistic integrated philosophy. They believe the skin is a mirror of all external and internal influences from our body and treat the skin appropriately to provide the most valuable results to each client. Our skin care therapists believe education is the key to healthy skin and offer their expertise generously to all clients.
Kris
Kris Stapleton
Kris began her massage career in 1993 on Bainbridge Island. She specializes in several modalities including pregnancy massage, oncology massage and Lomi Lomi. Most recently, Kris received her state endorsement to perform intraoral massage which is a technique that treats TMJ, headaches and whiplash. Kris continually receives education in massage therapy through a variety of programs. She is also a preferred provider for many insurance companies and provides treatment for injuries and medical conditions as referred by a doctor.
Darlene Darlene Testa
Darlene received her skin care license through The Euro Institute in 1997 after earning a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from Western Washington University. She immediately joined Kris Stapleton on Bainbridge Island to bring skin care services to Bay Massage. Darlene believes in educating her clients, which gives them the ability to prevent and protect their skin from conditions such as aging, acne, and pigmentation. She continues to educate herself through courses at the International Dermal Institute.
Jessica
Jessica Faunce
Jessica has been a licensed massage therapist since 1998 and joined the team at Bay Massage and Skin Care in 2003. Jessica enjoys seeing the results that massage therapy offers her clients. She specializes in deep tissue and sports massage. She is a provider for L&I and personal injury insurance. Jessica continues to expand her knowledge in massage therapy through educational programs.
Tina
Tina Sangster
Tina began her massage career in 2004 after twenty-eight years as a registered nurse. She joined the Bay Massage and Skin Care team in 2004. Tina specializes in elder massage. She is also a preferred provider for many insurance companies and provides injury treatment and massage for a variety of medical conditions. Tina enjoys increasing her skill and knowledge base through continued education.
Karen
Karen Johnson
Karen became a licensed skin care therapist in 2000 through Seattle Central Community College. In 2008, she joined the team at Bay Massage & Skin Care. Karen enjoys helping her clients discover their own personal path to well-being through proper skin care techniques, health, and nutrition. Karen specializes in treating acne conditions, both adolescent and adult on-set, and continues to receive education through the International Dermal Institute.

Emily Stuart

Emily joined the Bay Massage and Skin Care team in January of 2010.  Along with Swedish and Deep Tissue massage, Emily specializes in Reflexology treatments. In addition to nurturing her clients towards health through massage therapy, Emily also nurtures a growing business as a wheat grass farmer.
